The deadline is fast approaching, September 22nd, so don’t miss your chance to spend ten outstanding days, in-person in the mountains, focusing on your craft and soaking up the inspiration!

Application Deadline: September 22, 2021

Program Dates: October 30 – November 08, 2021

  • Arrive: October 29, 2021
  • Depart: November 09, 2021

The Adventure Filmmakers Workshop is designed for those who are committed to filmmaking as a life choice. To get the most from the program, applicants should have a strong desire to take the next step in all aspects of their filmmaking, including pre-production, pitching, location skills, the handling of the edit, and distribution. Past participants have included elite athletes transitioning to filmmaking, adventurers wanting to expand to different media platforms, and established filmmakers wanting to break into the adventure genre.

A strong knowledge base of technical sound, camera, and editing skills are essential. Applicants are encouraged to focus on one specific film project that they have in mind and to be prepared to share it with the group.

Please note: As the Banff Centre re-opens campus in a safe and mindful way, they have made the difficult decision to restrict recruitment for on-campus programs to those currently residing in Canada.
