THE BEST OF ALBERTA’S WILD WEST: Photography Workshop Oct 18-25, 2018

  By tcs_admin

For anyone interested in the Canadian West and Cowboy Culture this is the ultimate workshop full of private shoots with some of the best horseman and horsewomen in Alberta. All of our models are authentic cowboys and cowgirls that really walk the walk and ride the ride. You will have the opportunity to photograph these buckaroos within classic Rocky Mountain, Prairie, and Frontier Town settings. Action is a major part of these shoots and we will set up mock rodeo scenes, working cowhorse demonstration, longhorn cattle, river crossings with horses and riders, herds of buffalo, and much more. Other highlights include a day with wild horses, a First Nation’s dancer, Cowboy Campfire/BBQ and a private concert with local western musicians.

If you are looking for a chance to add some great images to your Western/Cowboy/Horses portfolio these four days will be non-stop shooting along with instruction and image review. Join award-winning photographer and former professional horse trainer Debra Garside as she takes you into her world of horses and western life.  Debra’s images have been featured in Canadian Geographic Magazine, The Smithsonian Institute in Washington DC and the Museum of Natural History in London UK. This four-day intensive workshop is only open to 6-8 participants. Are you ready to COWBOY UP?!

The workshop is October 18-21, 2018. Cost is $2499.00 per person (includes lunch, and all location and model fees). To see the detailed itinerary please visit or contact Debra at
