Photobooks & Large Format Books

I still have the first photography book I ever bought. I remember the time and place where I purchased it. It was a small how-to handbook on using a 35mm camera. It cost $7.99 and was filled with photos and photos of cameras.

That was 30 years ago, my passion for books and photography has never slowed down and today I have a great selection of over 700 titles.

Large Format 4×5 Photography

I still shoot a lot of large film. Yes, it seems I’ve always taken the hard road. In these days of isolation, I had two friends recently reach out and wanted to know more information about taking photographs with a 4×5 camera.

So instead of writing each a note, and with more time on my hands than I’m used to, I started making a series of videos about taking photographs with a large format camera.

The Importance of Digital Asset Management

Digital assets are the photographer’s most valuable resource. As your portfolio continues to grow, you need to be able to find, process, caption and store your images. This requires having a system in place to organize your digital files.

There is nothing worse for a photographer when they cannot find an image. Or when a simple hard drive goes down and thousands of images can be lost. This wastes your time trying to find images if you can and could cost the working photographer money.
