The International Open Call 2020 and the 2020 Emerging Photographers Showcase, both hosted by the Exposure Photography Festival, are now open for submissions. The Exposure Photography Festival is driven by providing an opportunity for people to communally engage in photographic image making, regardless of their experience and relation to photography. It is an open opportunity for individuals of all types of photographic diversity, from beginners to professionals, encompassing all ages and interest levels, to express themselves and come together with the common thread of photographic expression. Submit your work and join the movement that aims to bring forth education, inspiration and beauty, that will be shared with thousands of people.

One of the most freeing aspects of photography is that you can literally shoot whatever your heart wants. Whatever feeds your soul, motivates your creativity, no matter how out-of-the-box it may be. This however, can also be the most daunting. As with many things in life, it is easy to get stuck in your comfort zone, limiting your potential and sacrificing your imagination. One photographer who will not confine his inspiration or limit himself to any particular label, who fully embraces total creative freedom, and truly believes in visual storytelling, is Dave Brosha.

The Camera Store has proudly supported the Banff Mountain Film Festival for over a decade and specifically sponsored the Mountain Photography Residency program last week. The Camera Store’s very own Jeff Yee got to go up to Banff for the Mountain Photography Residency to represent TCS, bring up gear for participants to test, and take some amazing shots of the participants during the program.
