Sigma Primes Used in Top Gun: Maverick

Sigma FF High-Speed Primes have made it to the big screen! Director of Photography Claudio Miranda, ASC, has confirmed that a number of outstanding Sigma lenses were used in the production of Top Gun: Maverick! What an incredible accomplishment!

Lenses used during filming include Sigma primes from 14mm to 50mm, alongside the Zeiss Master Primes from 65mm and up. Claudio Miranda noted the following:

“In terms of sharpness and resolution they’re pretty close. In grading, even if things are just a little bit off, you can kind of blend them all in”.

That is incredibly high praise for the Sigma FF High-Speed Primes, which cost a fraction of what a Master Prime does! A huge congratulations to Sigma for their role in creating op Gun: Maverick!
