Salon Series: George Webber on Vivian Maier

The mysterious and ever-infatuating Vivian Maier brought back to life through stories by renowned Calgary photographer George Webber. Spend an intimate evening discussing the photographic endeavours of Vivian Maier, including a little-known story about the time Maier took a photograph here in Calgary.

Taking place during the Vivian Maier: In Her Own Hands Exhibition, George Webber will bring light to the intriguing career and artistic practice of Vivian Maier’s photography. A Chicago-based nanny, Vivian Maier took up street and travel photography in her spare time, a part of her life she barely shared with the world. Now she is celebrated as a true master. This will be an evening as unique as her story.

Salon Series: George Webber on Vivian Maier will take place on March. 18th, 2020 from 7:30 PM – 9:00 PM at the Glenbow Museum.
