Ontario-based photographer Steve Biro captured a remarkably symmetrical image of a bald eagle and it’s reflection that went viral. He was photographing at the Canadian Raptor Conservancy in Vittoria, Ontario from the edge of a pond where the eagle, named Bruce, was nearby.
The annual Canadian Camera Conference is in Calgary July 16-18, 2019. You do not want to miss this special event that is held every year in cities across Canada.
There will be 14 talented and engaging presentations on portraiture, landscape and wildlife photography, astrophotography and much more.
We are particularly excited about this all-Canadian based lineup of speakers, many of who are local photography heroes from Calgary.
The conference is being held on the beautiful SAIT campus, with accommodations, presentations, and banquet all in one place.
We are excited to announce that the new Panasonic S1 and S1R full-frame mirrorless cameras are now in The Camera Store Rental pool as part of our Try-Before-You-Buy Program!
You can rent either camera and a 24-105mm lens for three days, free of charge. (Yes, free!) This is a great opportunity to use the camera in a real-world situation, exactly as you would shoot it, and see whether or not it will work for the kind of shooting you like to do. All we need is photo ID and a pre-authorized hold on a credit card, and it’s yours to shoot. (See our rentals policy for more details.)
Fujifilm has announced the latest in their GFX medium format mirrorless lineup: the GFX 100, an impressive 102 megapixel camera with 16-bit colour, phase-detection autofocus, 4K video and built-in image stabilization.
Canon has entered the full-frame mirrorless game with their new EOS-R and EOS-RP. But with so many new cameras on the market, why should you go with these?
1. Really Freakin’ nice lenses – Canon’s new RF mount has introduced a new lens selection, and they’re all… Really Freakin’ nice. Like the gorgeously sharp 50mm f1.2, or the 28-70mm F2 lens, which is the fastest zoom of this focal range on the market today
