New: Leica M-E (Type 240) Announced

Leica has announced the new M-E (Type 240). 

The camera features a 24 megapixel newly developed LEICA MAX CMOS sensor, and a 2GB buffer (improved over the 1GB found in the M-P Type 240). A new “anthracite paint” gives the camera a sleek dark grey finish, combined with black cowhide leather for a classic look. 

Other features include:

  • Maximum ISO of 6400
  • “Leica Look” videos with 1080p video 
  • Extended applications with Live View and electronic viewfinder
  • Weather sealing

The camera is available for preorder now at a price of $5393.25.
