Fujifilm G-Mount Lens Roadmap

  By Ryley Smith

Plans are in the making. Good things are coming our way! Fujifilm has announced the latest developments for G-mount interchangeable lenses, compatible with the GFX system cameras. With two more lenses coming into the lineup, this will take the GF Family total up to 13 lenses!

Specifically designed for the GFX Mirrorless Camera System, Fujifilm’s two new lenses the FUJINON GF30mmF3.5 R WR; an impressive, wide-angle, prime lens, and the FUJINON GF80mmF1.7 R WR; a unique, wide-aperture, standard lens.

The wide-angle, 30mm GF30mmF3.5 R WR will be a slim, compact, and lightweight lens offering incredible resolving power for high-resolution imaging sensors. With an equivalent 24mm focal length in the 35mm film format, it will be perfect for landscape photography.

The GF80mmF1.7 R WR will be a standard 80mm lens with an equivalent focal length of 63mm in the 35mm film format, making it incredibly suitable for portraiture and making images in low-light conditions. This will also be the lens with the widest aperture among GF lenses and be an incredible solution for portrait photographers who want beautiful, creamy bokeh with their GFX System Cameras.
This compact and lightweight lens will have a wider angle of view than the highly popular GF100mmF2 R LM WR and deliver the same level of incredible image quality.

Keep your eyes and hears open as we wait for more information from Fuji!
