Dave Brosha – A Photographer With No Limits

One of the most freeing aspects of photography is that you can literally shoot whatever your heart wants. Whatever feeds your soul, motivates your creativity, no matter how out-of-the-box it may be. This however, can also be the most daunting. As with many things in life, it is easy to get stuck in your comfort zone, limiting your potential and sacrificing your imagination. One photographer who will not confine his inspiration or limit himself to any particular label, who fully embraces total creative freedom, and truly believes in visual storytelling, is Dave Brosha

A proud Canadian with far too many stamps on the pages of his passport, Dave Brosha has always had an open interpretation of photography. As someone who wanted to capture the world, from his own back yard in P.E.I, with his amazing wife and beautiful three children, to the farthest corners of Antartica, to every colourful piece in between. Capturing wildlife, landscape, the culture of every place he explores and the people who bring that community to life, Dave is inspired by the infinite stories he can share.

His passion for photography is what drives him to find beauty in all his surroundings. He searches for the truths in his imagines, strengths in his stories, and strives to be constantly open to what the world may present. It is not easy, but with a mindset to continually improve and learn, Dave is, with no doubt, an extraordinary photographer.

Now as school always taught us, the best way to learn is to teach, and learning together is a lot more fun than learning on your own. Well lucky for us, Dave does exactly that. Dave puts on numerous workshops, seminars, retreats, you name it, and it just so happens that The Camera Store and Dave Brosha are putting on a presentation called Shooting the Story, Not the Genre. Coincidence? I’ll leave that for you to decide. In all seriousness though, Dave will be talking ‘the bigger picture’ perspective on photography, pulling from his own experiences from around the world, enlightening everyone on his unique interpretation and expression of visual storytelling, and overall having a great time bonding over our shared love of photography. Regardless of your style (if you want to put a label on it), this will truly be an exciting and inspirational event.
