BMFF: Youth Adventure Photo Workshop

  By Kaitlyn Kerr

Last year, the Banff Mountain Film & Book Festival launched a new Youth Adventure Photo Workshop that we, in partnership with Nikon, were proud to sponsor. This weekend workshop gave 13 youths the opportunity to learn the basics of photography, and shoot around the gorgeous Banff landscape under the instruction of photographer Jeremiah Marsh. At the end, each student chose one photo, which were then printed and exhibited at the Banff Public Library this past April.

The Festival will be running this workshop again this fall, on October 26th & 27th from 10:00AM to 5:00PM each day at the Banff Centre for Arts & Creativity. The cost is $250 and includes lunch each day. Scholarship opportunities may be available to qualifying applicants.

Registration for the workshop will open with the live launch of the Festival in August. For more information, visit the Banff Centre website or email public_programs@banffcentre.ca.
