5 Pro Tips For Bird Photography

Nature photographer and conservationist Lana Tannir (@lanatannirphoto) started her photography journey primarily focusing on landscape photography, but over the years she began to crave a new challenge. She found landscapes to be too predictable and was looking to grow as a photographer. So she shifted her focus to wildlife, she states, “I got very excited about pursuing wildlife photography because it was just a new challenge, it was unpredictable. I had to really push myself to my limits and to start learning more about animal behavior, about where to find specific species. Also about the ethics of wildlife photography. So that’s what keeps me excited because I’m always faced with new challenges, with new situations that I’m not able to control, necessarily.” As Tannir delved further into wildlife photography, she started focusing more on birds, and became known for capturing breathtaking avian images. She uses Sony Alpha cameras and lenses and she shared some of her top tips and techniques for creating standout bird photography.

Camera Setup Guide For Vlogging With The Sony ZV-E10

Content creator Siya Zarrabi is half of the Hopscotch The Globe vlogging team, sharing the adventure with his partner and fellow Alpha Collective member Kristen Sarah. After spending months on the road vlogging their experience living in an Airstream, the two have recently moved to a multicultural community in Costa Rica where they continue to share their journey on their YouTube Channel. Zarrabi is a big fan of using his white Sony ZV-E10 for documenting the adventure. “It’s so light, half the weight of many other cameras. It’s great because you can hold it out for vlogging longer without issue. It’s so much easier on your body and you can also very easily throw it in your bag to take with you.” But it’s not just the weight that makes it his top choice for vlogging. As a radiologist she analyzes images in an attempt to establish diagnosis to achieve cure. Her work has been awarded in competitions run by National Geographic, USA landscape photographer of the year, Lonely Planet, Popular Photography and Outdoor Photographer amongst others. What’s In My Bag: A Content Creator’s Kit For Logging 4,000 Miles In The Wilderness

Elina Osborne (@elinasborne) is a visual storyteller rooted in telling tales of hiking and adventure. A creator on YouTube, she says of her works, “I make content in the form of documentary-style films. While I place focus on capturing video, photography has also always been something I love to capture – particularly when it involves people in new environments.” Osborne says to cover her bases, her gear could vary immensely, but for her YouTube Channel, she’s taken an approach to be as minimal as possible. “It’s usually trial by fire on a long-distance hike,” she says, “navigating what I can justify carrying, with what I think will capture the journey I’m trying to portray.” After some 4,000 miles on the trail and many sprained ankles later, she has settled on a Sony Alpha 7S III camera and a tight collection of Sony lenses to document her adventures in YouTube films and vlogs.
